Purebread - A Tribute to Bread

Step back into the golden age of soft rock with PureBread, Southern California’s premier tribute to the timeless music of Bread.

With their unmistakable melodies, lush harmonies, and heartfelt lyrics, Bread helped define the sound of the 1970s. From their first No. 1 hit, “Make It With You,” to an extraordinary string of Top 40 classics, the music of David Gates and Bread became the soundtrack to a generation—and remains just as beloved today.

Founded by Ray Koukal out of a lifelong admiration for Bread and the brilliant songwriting of David Gates, PureBread brings together an exceptional group of musicians dedicated to recreating these songs with the authenticity, musicianship, and emotional warmth they deserve.

Audiences will be transported back in time with unforgettable favorites including “Everything I Own,” “Baby I’m-a Want You,” “If,” “Diary,” “Aubrey,” “The Guitar Man,” “Sweet Surrender,” “It Don’t Matter to Me,” “Lost Without Your Love,” and, of course, “Make It With You.”

With soaring vocals, beautiful harmonies, and the smooth, melodic sound that helped pave the way for what we now call Yacht Rock, PureBread is more than a tribute—it’s a nostalgic musical journey through one of the most cherished catalogs of the ’70s.

Come rediscover the songs you fell in love with and experience an evening filled with timeless hits, rich harmonies, unforgettable memories, and PureBread.
