Three Blind Mice

The Three Blind Mice blues band formed in 1988 with original members Brian Barrett, Ross Harris, and Bones Jones. They’ve opened for many acts, including Johnny Winter, Robin Ford, Pat Travers, Ten Years After, Foreigner, Rich Derringer, and Robin Trower. They’ve played the Coach House, House of Blues (downtown Disney and Sunset Boulevard) and have played at the Doheney Blues Festival several times.

Brian Barrett, Guitar and Vocals
Guitarist Brian Barrett has played throughout Southern California since his teen years. He plays jazz, blues, pop, and rock and roll, and spent 7 years playing solo acoustic blues at Sid’s (Newport Beach). He has been in the Quiet Woman (Corona del Mar) house band since 2009. He played in the legendary Doc Rutherford’s jazz band and is featured on a dozen of Doc’s CDs.

Ross Harris, Bass Guitar and Vocals
Bassist Ross Harris has played with Smokey Wilson (“The Nighttime is the Right Time”) and Floyd Dixon (“Hey Bartender,” “Wine, Wine, Wine”) and local bands, The Slimtones, Richard Norton Band, and Cat Reed All Stars at the Doheny Blues Festival. He’s been songwriter for Doc Drew All Stars.  

Bones Jones, Drums
Hailing from Austin, Texas, Bones started drumming at a young age, studying with Joe Morello of Dave Brubeck fame (“Take Five”). When he arrived in Southern California in 1988, he started drumming with Three Blind Mice. Bones has album credits on Blues on Fire by Raging Sun and About Time by Pilot the Moon.
